Tonight my friend and I went for a walk in the misty rain at one of the local harbours. Got some pretty pictures from our Thursday night adventure – despite the rain!

I visited Scotland twice whilst studying abroad in Wales in Spring 2011 semester. I loved Edinburgh and Stornoway, Isle of Lewis but didn’t get to visit anywhere else. Thanks for stopping by my blog earlier and reading the garden getaway post. Feel free to follow me for upcoming trips 🙂

My favorite photo is the street with red doors- reminds me of that scene from HP at Spinner’s End.

Hi this is my red door, we have lived here since 2004, the house is Craigvilla, built by the fish merchant Thomas Craig I think in the 1880’s. The house stayed in the family. They split it into two in the 1960’s . We tried to buy the upstairs but missed out in 2002. The collection of buoys are from all over the world that we found on the beaches of the small Isles, mainly Rhum and Canna. We go on our wee boat Rhum buoy which spends the rest of the year in Dunbar Harbour. I love staying here and have enjoyed your local beauties series, have you been to Cove, another of my favourites. Keep up the good work and I hope you enjoy your travels.

Thank you so much for your wonderful comment! When I get home from my travels I’ll be adding this to the actual blog (if you are happy for that) as that’s so interesting and just expands it further! Yes I have, my family are from Dunbar originally so I have been around a lot of the areas, can find some really pretty spots 😊thank you again, I honestly enjoyed your comment so much!
